The Dyersville Area Chamber of Commerce has ten standing committees. These committees play key roles in community issues, public relations, activities and events. By becoming an active member of one of these committees, you help shape the future of our communities.
Executive Committee
To maintain internal management and reporting process that ensures the financial well-being of the chamber. Committee meets monthly.
Ambassadors/Membership Committee
To enhance the personal and professional development of our members. Implement business recruitment and retention programs. Welcome new businesses to community and welcome new members to the chamber. Committee meets monthly.
Business Partners
To provide educational, promotional and networking programs that benefit our members. Committee meets quarterly.
Tourism Committee
To operate tourist information center, promote the Dyersville area to the tourism industry and to the general population and provide guide service to visiting tourists. Committee meets as necessary.
Community Service/Community Awareness Committee
To create a heightened awareness and appreciation of the Chamber programs and activities, including quality of life issues, recreational activities and research of community issues. Committee meets quarterly or as necessary.
Education Committee
To inform the chamber board and membership on important school issues and available training programs (school-to-work, mentoring, etc.). Committee meets quarterly or as necessary.
Government Affairs Committee
To act as a watch dog for legislation or activities affecting Chamber membership businesses. To coordinate a legislative day in Des Moines. Committee meets quarterly or as necessary.
Past President’s Committee
To recognize and keep the past presidents of the Chamber informed on Chamber activities and issues. Committee meets once per year.
