Credit Analyst Associate



Provides full service to Loan Officers, through analyzing basic commercial and agricultural loan requests, identifying strengths and weaknesses, providing recommendations, and noting any deviations from the Loan Policy and procedure as appropriate.

Essential Functions

  1. Analyze financial and qualitative data on commercial and agricultural loan customers and summarize findings and assessment of risk in a credit presentation report which is submitted to various approval levels.
  2. Prepares written analyses.
  3. Seeks guidance from management on credit relationships displaying higher than normal credit risk.
  4. Performs analysis on relationships with participating banks.
  5. Participates in special projects as assigned.
  6. Build rapport with the Market Presidents and Loan Officers.
  7. Participates in civic and community activities to generate visibility for the bank.
  8. Maintain confidentiality of customer and bank information.
  9. Openly communicates to all departments within the bank to determine efficiencies and improvements.
  10. Responsible for maintaining compliance with all applicable law and regulations (as set forth by the Chief Compliance Officer).
  11. Other duties as assigned.
    Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee should be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.


Some travel may be required between offices on a limited basis.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

Previous experience in Credit Analysis or related Credit Administration experience.
