Summary/Objective
Conducts periodic reviews of bank activities. Appraises internal controls, operations, and administrative functions for efficiency and effectiveness. Reviews and monitors bank policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state banking regulations and corporate compliance program.
Essential Functions

Assist in general routine audits of internal operations of bank’s books, records, procedures, and performance according to corporate audit guidelines. This includes, but is not limited to, surprise bank branch audits.
Assist in external audits of the bank.
Examine and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of information systems and business controls.
Assist in assuring audit practices conform to department and professional standards.
Performs periodic reviews of employee accounts.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee should be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Additional working hours may be required for this position to ensure the functionality of the department and overall functionality of the bank.
Travel
Some travel may be required for this position.
Required Education and Experience
2 year college degree and/or equivalent experience.
Previous experience in banking or audit industry.
Preferred Education and Experience
