  Living the Dream...

Be a Ghost This Summer!

Laughter, music, dancing, a bit of baseball, pranks, wholesome family fun and more return to the Field of Dreams Movie Site (28995 Lansing Rd in Dyersville) this summer as the Field of Dreams Movie Site Ghost Players begin their series of five appearances on Sunday, July 3. This year, the Ghost Players have added a twist: one lucky attendee at the first four Ghost Sunday events will have the opportunity to be a Guest Ghost on the Field of Dreams Movie Site ball field as part of the attraction’s Summer of Sweet ’16 Sweepstakes at the final show on Sunday, August 28 at 1pm.

This free 90-minute “greatest show on dirt” begins at 1pm on the five Sunday afternoons:

  • July 3
  • July 17
  • July 31
  • August 14
  • August 28

On Sunday, August 28, the Ghosts come out to play and bring with them one lucky winner of the Summer of Sweet ’16 Sweepstakes who entered during the previous four 2016 shows. No purchase is necessary to enter the sweepstakes. One entry form per person will be available and received on-site each day only at the first four Ghost Sundays at the Field of Dreams Movie Site. The lucky winner will receive the opportunity to be an honorary Field of Dreams Ghost, complete with authentic Ghost uniform (player must provide own undergarments, protective gear, shoes, belt and spikes.)

The winner will be selected at 6pm on Sunday, August 14, 2016, and will be notified immediately of his or her chance to play in the August 28 show. If the first winner selected is unable to play, he or she will forfeit their chance and another winner will be selected from the entries. The opportunity to play is non-transferrable. Ballpark fare, beverages, souvenirs and free parking are available on site. Admission is free and contributions to keep the Field beautiful for generations to come are welcome.
