Independence Day Celebration
Come out for some food, music, games, and lots of great fireworks!  The fun begins at 5 p.m. with kids rides, paddle wheel, games of chance.  From 6-9 p.m. dunk your favorite celebrity in the dunk tank.  Don't miss the Dancing Dixons, a lawnmower square dancing routine at 7:30 p.m.  Music will be played by Party Express from 5 p.m.-12:30 a.m.  A huge fireworks display will begin at dusk.  Admission is $3, 10 and under free.

Downtown Friday Night
Come out and enjoy live entertainment, food and games for the kids.  Zero to Sixty will entertain us this evening.  Come and cheer on your favorite fire department as they have their water ball fights.  Free admission.  For more information, call the Chamber at 563-875-2311.

Farley JulyFest
Farley St. Joseph's Parish 17th annual JulyFest, Sunday, July 12, 2009.  Polka Mass at 10 a.m. by the Guttenberg German Band, playing in the tent 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  Chicken dinner by Far-Fry serving 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Parade 11:15 a.m., float contest, cash prizes.  Auction 1 p.m.  Tractor, vehicle display, raffle, Farmer's Market, bake sale, games for the kids.  Contact Kristi Kramer at 563-744-3153 for more information.

US Military All Star Baseball Team
The US Military All Star Baseball Team is coming to Dyersville on Sunday, July 19, 2009!  Bring your family and friends to watch the game ball parachute onto the field, then the Military Team will play against the Ghost Players.  The opening ceremony will honor local men and women who have and are currently serving in the military.

Gates open at 4 p.m. soyou can take part in the Ghost Player comedy routine, US Military autograph/photo session, kids games, NASCAR, military displays and more!  Joe Scherrman's Ghost Player documentary will be shown later that evening.  This event will take place at the Dyersville Commercial Club Park and the cost is $5 per person, 13 and under free.  The event is being produced by Dyersville Events/Ghost Players and proceeds will go towards the American Legion.  For more information, contact the Chamber at 563-875-2311.

Lightning Fest 2009
Lightning will light up the eastern Iowa skies once again for two days straight come August 7th and 8th, as JL fans and fanatics from far and wide converge at the intersections of Highways 136 & 20 at the RC2 Outlet Store for Lightning Fest 2009. Come meet Tom Zahorsky and the Johnny Lightning team as they unveil the newest JL releases. The team is planning an outlet store sale, Collector Club design forum, "Collier & Co." movie premier, exhibitor sales and trading, hot dog eating contest, Daisy Duke look-alike contest, celebrity Wiffle ball game, 1:1 car show, charity auction, vendor tables and JL dinner. Lightning Fest is FREE to attend!

30th Annual Festival of the Arts Craft & Quilt Show
Attention craft lovers and quilt lovers! This weekend it is here the 30th Annual Festival of the Arts Craft & Quilt Show! One of the largest shows in the area makes its return to Dyersville Beckman High School Saturday September 26 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday September 27 from 10am to 3pm. This year every 30th person will receive free admission to the show. Quilts are still being accepted into the show and they will be until this Friday at noon. This is a great chance to start spicing up your home with fall décor or even start thinking about Christmas gifts!

National Farm Toy Show
National Farm Toy Show


Known as "the granddaddy of them all" the National Farm Tow Show is the largest farm toy show in the world! Held each year in Dyersville at the National Farm Toy Museum, Beckman High School and Commercial Club Park, this event brings over 400 tables of farm toys for sale and displays to an audience of nearly 15,000!
